Broadridge Financial Solutions
Broadridge Financial Solutions, a global provider of investor communications and financial technology services, is continuing its commitment to Suffolk County through a major reinvestment in its Edgewood operations. With support from the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency, the company is upgrading two existing facilities to help maintain its local workforce and strengthen its long-term presence on Long Island.
Broadridge processes trillions of dollars in stock trades each day and delivers more than 7 billion shareholder communications annually. Its two Edgewood facilities encompass more than 722,000 square feet of operational space and remain an important part of the company’s national footprint. The project includes building renovations, new equipment, and infrastructure improvements designed to help Broadridge remain competitive as the financial services industry continues to evolve.
Broadridge’s relationship with the Suffolk IDA dates back to 1997, when the company first sought assistance with an expansion in Edgewood. At the time, the two locations employed 168 people. Today, those facilities support more than 1,500 jobs with an average annual salary of $111,353.
Facing competitive pressure from lower-cost states, Broadridge had considered relocating portions of its operations outside New York. Instead, the company is continuing to invest in its Suffolk County facilities at 51 Mercedes Way and 1155 Long Island Avenue in Edgewood. The Suffolk IDA-supported project will retain 1,531 jobs and create 65 construction jobs, helping preserve high-quality employment opportunities and support continued economic activity in the region.
Broadridge is also strengthening its connection to Long Island’s innovation and workforce ecosystem through a $3 million partnership with Stony Brook University focused on artificial intelligence research and workforce development. The initiative will help expand opportunities for collaboration between higher education and the financial technology industry.
