What is the Long Island Economic Development Collective?

The Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency, along with the other seven IDAs on Long Island, recently came together to partner with tourism promotion agency Discover Long Island. The purpose of this partnership was to spur additional economic growth and development on Long Island. Through this collaborative effort, the Long Island Economic Development Collective (LIEDC) was created. The Suffolk County IDA aims to attract new businesses to the region, while also maintaining an impressive list of companies that have made Suffolk County their home. By coordinating efforts and pooling resources, this new group is poised to strategically attract new businesses to the region to continue fueling an already thriving economy.
