Founded in 1953, Autronic Plastics, Inc. has spent over 70 years building a reputation for precision, innovation, and quality in the plastic injection molding industry. What began as a specialized operation serving niche markets has grown into a full-service manufacturer producing high-performance plastic components and LED lighting systems for a wide range of industries, including medical devices, aerospace, defense, transportation, and construction.
Since relocating to Suffolk County in 2013 with support from the Suffolk IDA, Autronic Plastics has continued to expand its operations and workforce. Today, the company employs 117 full-time workers and is preparing for its next stage of growth to meet rising demand and new business opportunities.
To support this growth, Autronic Plastics is investing $3.5 million to renovate and modernize its 100,290-square-foot facility at 1150 Motor Parkway in Central Islip. The project also includes a potential 25,000-square-foot Phase II expansion that will allow for increased production capacity, enhanced engineering capabilities, and expanded R&D initiatives.
This expansion will enable Autronic Plastics to meet the needs of three recently awarded contracts while strengthening its long-term position as a leading advanced manufacturer on Long Island.
