For over 75 years, Casanova/Good Meats has been a trusted name in wholesale meat and grocery distribution, serving bodegas, delis, small grocery stores, and more than 700 restaurants across New York State. Originally founded as a small retail store in Freeport, the business transitioned to wholesale operations as demand for its high-quality products grew. Now, five generations later, the company continues to expand, reinforcing its role as a key supplier to the region’s Caribbean and Spanish ethnic communities.
To meet the increasing demand for its selection of USDA-certified meats, poultry, seafood, and grocery products, Casanova Market Inc. is relocating from a 16,000-square-foot facility at 422 Great East Neck Road in West Babylon to a 50,000-square-foot facility at 430 Wireless Boulevard in Hauppauge.
This $20.5 million investment will allow the company to increase its storage capacity, modernize distribution, and expand its ability to process and package meat for retail customers. The new facility will also provide nine loading docks, a significant upgrade from the limited space at its current location, enabling more efficient deliveries and operations. With these improvements, Casanova Market Inc. will be better equipped to serve its growing customer base and support the needs of local businesses.

This expansion will retain 82 full-time jobs and create 22 additional positions, bringing the company’s total payroll to more than $6.4 million annually. Without assistance from Suffolk IDA, Casanova Market Inc. had considered relocating to New Jersey.
