Headquartered in New York State, Orbic Electronic Manufacturing LLC manufactures wireless technology equipment for the communications and electronics industries. With support from the Suffolk IDA, Orbic is transforming its facility at 555 Wireless Boulevard in Hauppauge into a 135,000-square-foot electronics manufacturing complex. This project, part of a larger effort known as Project Patriot, is valued at $107.5 million and will allow the company to significantly increase its production capacity, expand assembly lines, and reduce reliance on foreign manufacturing.
The company will renovate its current building and construct a 75,000-square-foot addition to accommodate new production lines and warehousing space. Orbic is expected to retain 42 jobs and create 503 new full-time positions over the next two years, with an average salary of $49,000 per year.

The Suffolk IDA approved an incentive package that includes a sales tax exemption of up to $1.9 million on construction materials and equipment, and $3.5 million in property tax abatements over 20 years, totaling $5.4 million in savings.
