Sterling North America’s partnership with the Suffolk IDA began in 2021 with a commitment to create 12 new jobs. The company has far exceeded that goal, adding more than 100 positions to its workforce.
Sterling has experienced rapid growth, doubling its workforce to 253 employees since 2021. To meet rising demand, the company is undertaking its second project in collaboration with the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency. This latest initiative involves renovating a vacant 40,895-square-foot facility at 101 Corporate Drive in Hauppauge. This will allow Sterling to bring outsourced tasks in-house and invest in advanced technologies which includes a paper waste management system that will contribute to increased business for local paper recycling companies.
